Swaddling.
It’s one of those things that can bring so much peace to a parent’s life, especially in the first few weeks when the little one still wishes they were curled up inside the womb.
I say “can” because sometimes traditional swaddling with a wrap doesn’t work. My babies are a great example of this. They loved the lower half of their bodies being wrapped up tight, but swaddling their little arms seemed to annoy them.
Instead of being calmed by the closeness of the wraps stilling their startle reflex, my babies just fought against the wrap, wanting their arms to be up close to their faces.
My sister, who recently gave birth to my second little nephew, had similar problems with traditional swaddling.
Enter Love to Dream’s Love to Swaddle UP - the original & innovative swaddle that allows your baby to sleep, with their arms up so that they can self soothe.
My sister has been using the Love To Swaddle UP for a few weeks now and here’s what she has to say about it:
What is your favourite thing about the Swaddle?:
It has put my baby into a routine, he knows that when the swaddle goes on it is bedtime.
What do you like about the design?:
I can easily change his nappy by un-zipping the lower zippers and when I feed him during the night I can easily free his little arms – he likes to be able to move around, and I like his lower body staying snug in the swaddle.

The hand/arm area (the UP part of the design) is so good, it gives him the freedom of movement and the security of being swaddled all at the same time. Most importantly it allows him access to his hands so he can self soothe and we don’t have to intervene to help him back to sleep.
The seatbelt opening gives us flexibility to be able to go out in the evening and still have him swaddled to keep him in his regular sleep routine. Which is so important.
Is it comfortable for baby?:
The swaddle is soft and feels really good, plus it’s durable. I can just throw it into the washing machine with a normal load.
