Love To Swaddle UP – Review + Giveaway

by The Surprise Beginning on September 21, 2012

Swaddling.

It’s one of those things that can bring so much peace to a parent’s life, especially in the first few weeks when the little one still wishes they were curled up inside the womb.

I say “can” because sometimes traditional swaddling with a wrap doesn’t work. My babies are a great example of this. They loved the lower half of their bodies being wrapped up tight, but swaddling their little arms seemed to annoy them.

Instead of being calmed by the closeness of the wraps stilling their startle reflex, my babies just fought against the wrap, wanting their arms to be up close to their faces.

My sister, who recently gave birth to my second little nephew, had similar problems with traditional swaddling.

Enter Love to Dream’s Love to Swaddle UP - the original & innovative swaddle that allows your baby to sleep, with their arms up so that they can self soothe.

My sister has been using the Love To Swaddle UP for a few weeks now and here’s what she has to say about it:

What is your favourite thing about the Swaddle?:

It has put my baby into a routine, he knows that when the swaddle goes on it is bedtime.

What do you like about the design?:

I can easily change his nappy by un-zipping the lower zippers and when I feed him during the night I can easily free his little arms – he likes to be able to move around, and I like his lower body staying snug in the swaddle.

The hand/arm area (the UP part of the design) is so good, it gives him the freedom of movement and the security of being swaddled all at the same time. Most importantly it allows him access to his hands so he can self soothe and we don’t have to intervene to help him back to sleep.

The seatbelt opening gives us flexibility to be able to go out in the evening and still have him swaddled to keep him in his regular sleep routine. Which is so important.

Is it comfortable for baby?:

The swaddle is soft and feels really good, plus it’s durable. I can just throw it into the washing machine with a normal load.

The Love To Swaddle UP Original {RRP. $39.95} is available in three different sizes, for weights 3-11kgs, in 4  sweet baby colours. If you think one of these innovative swaddles could improve the way your little one sleeps, you can find stockist information for  the Love To Swaddle UP on the Love To Dream website: www.lovetodream.com.au

I wish my boys were still young enough for me to enter because I loved the Swaddle Up. They were a great alternative for my boys who were little Houdinis, escaping out of their wraps.

I would love small grey Swaddle Up for my baby (born last week), he is already a master at wiggling out of his swaddle wraps and this would give him a much better sleep and prevent him from scratching his face!

I follow you on Facebook.
I currently use swaddle up and they are fantastic. It also stops the little tiger from scratching his face and also stops him from taking his dummy out. However since he grows so quickly am in need of a large grey swaddle up.

I follow via Facebook.

Well, for the first thirty minutes ( or less) after wearing, the medium white looks like a bright idea.
