Bringing the Tulle

by The Surprise Beginning on August 9, 2012

This seems to be a week of confessions.

My confession for the day is this: I love tulle.

Preferably in a rainbow of colours, the more the better.

I realise it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and it can be a pain in the rear end to sew . . . but it just looks so darn cute ruffled on a babies butt!

Currently I have enough tulle and fabric sitting on my dining room table to make about fifteen pairs of bloomers.

It’s a mess, but a mess that makes me happy.

A beautiful mess.

It reminds me a lot of my life at the moment.

From the outside it’s all a bit convoluted, elements strewn all over the place.

But all the elements are precious, everything will make so much sense once it is put together properly.

The ribbons and buttons {the laughter and milestones} are just the cherry on top, the extra special something that makes the finished product that much more special.

These are available for custom orders.

As I work through my bundle of tulle and fabric, I let go of my stress, I piece together my creations and gain so much satisfaction, I enjoy my hobby.

The tulle just makes the whole process so much prettier.

At the end of the day I think if you can make something pretty and cute without compromising on comfort you should do it.

Today I am thankful for tulle, and ruffles, and ribbons, and designer fabrics .  .  . *sigh*.
